Coaching & Counseling

Jan Foster

In her coaching and counseling practice, Jan's approach is collaborative and profoundly non-pathologizing. Jan draws on her practical corporate business experience, powerful mind/body methods and innovative applications of transpersonal psychology to empower people to create choice, freedom and balance in their lives and in their relationships.

Jan enjoys empowering people to find ways to "be in relationship without losing yourself" and how to use problematic relationships, whether they are romantic, familial or work-related, as Teacher, Healer and Guide.

Jan uses her extensive training and experience in dreams as "messages from the unconscious" to empower people to understand their unique dream language and how to act on the messages carried by their dreams.

Jan even enjoys working with Inner Critics, to empower people to avoid or minimize the Inner Critic "attacks" that cause anxiety, depression, poor body image, exhaustion, and low self-esteem and that can sabotage our intimate relationships.

Jan utilizes Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy as a powerful method to "get out of your head and into your body."

Jan is a long-term co-facilitator of Hospice and Palliative Care of Louisville's Living Through Grief program and considers it a privilege to walk with those on the grief journey as they learn to live and grow through grief.
